Welcome to Perham Down TNB
Based just outside Tidworth, Perham Down Nursery is situated on the left hand side just after Perham Down Camp, set back off the main through road, hidden behind beautiful greenery.
In January 2018 we were graded Good by OFsted with comments like:
“Children are happy and enter the setting with confidence”
“Partnership with parents is strong” and
“Staff provide a good range of activities that interests children and supports their learning”
Perham down Nursery currently takes children from 2 years – 5 years.
We are open Monday – Friday 9am – 3pm, 39 weeks of the year.
During the holidays, the children have the opportunity to attend TNB Holiday Club which is based at our sister setting, Paddington Playstation in Tidworth.
Perham Down Nursery is a small, friendly and very welcoming setting, enhanced by a wonderful environment that flows inside and out. This allows the children to explore and learn in a way that suits them best.
We start our daily routine with a calm activity such as Yoga to prepare the children for the day ahead. Once key group time is completed, the children can choose to learn through play either inside or outside. Our playrooms and Outside Area are both very well equipped and our experienced staff create great opportunities for the children to develop skills such as working as a team or individually to complete tasks to support the rest of the setting and peers.
We feel it’s incredibly important to give the children ownership of their environment, so allocate a Room Monitor to encourage their peers to tidy and be safe up. We also have a Snack and Lunch Monitor to help organise our Snack Café and help at meal times.
Every week we also encourage all children and staff to come together to take part in a whole group activity. These activities include baking, Disco Dough, Music and Movement and Sing and Sign.
Perham Down Nursery Aims
To deliver high quality care and education for any children attending our setting and ensure we provide a safe and secure home from home environment.
To ensure all staff build strong relationships with parents so we can work together in providing strong foundations for further learning.
To provide opportunities to challenge and support all children in their personal progression in the seven areas of learning.
We also aim to offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
