Welcome to Perham Down TNB
Based just outside Tidworth, Perham Down Nursery is on the left, just after Perham Down Camp, set back behind beautiful green hedging.
In January 2018 we were graded Good by Ofsted with comments like:
“Children are happy and enter the setting with confidence”
“Partnership with parents is strong” and
“Staff provide a good range of activities that interests children and supports their learning”
Perham down Nursery currently takes children from 12 months – 5 years.
We are open Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm, 39 weeks of the year.
Perham Down Nursery is a small, intimate setting, enhanced by a wonderful environment that flows inside and out, allowing the children to explore and learn in a way that suits them best.
We start our day with Yoga moving on to our good morning song and group discussion. Throughout the week we will include Disco Dough and Music and Movement.
Our playrooms and outside area are very well equipped coupled with our experienced staff great opportunities are continually provided for the children to develop skills such as working as a team or individually to complete tasks to support the rest of the setting and peers.
We feel it’s incredibly important to give the children ownership of their environment, we allocate Room Monitors to encourage their peers to tidy and safe. We also have a Snack and Lunch Monitor to help organise our Snack Café and help at meal times.
Every week the setting comes together to take part in a whole group activity. These activities include cooking, Disco Dough, Music and Movement and Sing and Sign.
Perham Down Nursery Aims
To deliver high quality care and education for all children attending our setting and ensure we provide a safe and secure home from home environment.
To ensure all staff build strong relationships with parents so we can work together in providing strong foundations for further learning.
To provide opportunities to challenge and support all children in their personal progression in the seven areas of learning.
We also aim to offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
