Caterpillas Under 5's consists of two large open plan rooms which are separated into zoned areas for different types of learning and play. They include; role-play, discovery, small world play, our café and quiet cuddle zones. There is also a large open plan garden.
The Glow-worms Room
This houses our youngest children is self-contained and offers everything the larger rooms offer but on a smaller scale, attached it has a separate outside space that allows children to access a sensory garden, mud kitchen, sand pit and trikes.
The 2-3 Year Old Room
This room is home to our 2–3-year-old children and consists of two key-groups Dragonflies and Ladybirds, it is separated into five main areas messy/creative, role-play, construction, a cosy corner and small world. They can access the main garden in all weathers and a Café style snack is operated.
The Pre-School Room
This room is a large open plan room that is flooded with light and where you will find our 3-5-year-old children. The three key-groups Grasshoppers,Butterflies and Bees each have their own home area for small group activities and quiet cuddle zones. The main room is zoned into areas for different types of learning and play. They include; role-play, discovery, literacy, construction, small world play, our café. There is also a large open plan garden which offers all the same activities as inside as well as physical play, risk taking and communication friendly spaces.
Each key group has between two and three key people that work closely with children and families to build strong relationships and attachments; this means that there will always be someone on the premises that knows your child and whom your child feels comfortable with.
