Welcome to Paddington Playstation Day Nursery
Paddingtons - Where we are committted to offering a holistic approach to children's learning and development’’
Starting Nursery or Pre-School is a big step for both you and your child and we hope by working together we can make it a happy and rewarding experience.
Paddington Playstation Day Nursery is situated in the centre of Tidworth, off Station Road, opposite The Castle Practice Doctor's Surgery. Our building is light and airy with three rooms available for the children and a sleep room for our sleepers. We have a fully operational kitchen, where our cook makes homemade hot lunches and the kitchen enables the children access to cooking. A front play area for children aged 3 months - 2 years, a natural organic back garden where the children access a Mud Kitchen and planting area. We also have the Pre-School garden situated at the entrance to the nursery with access from the Pre-School room, allowing free flow throughout the session.
At Paddington Playstation Day Nursery we aim to provide a high-quality Early Year's environment, ensuring that children are happy and involved with their own learning, and that parents are happy and included in their children's care and education.
Paddington Playstation Day Nursery is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, where children learn through play. Children are at the centre of our ethos and are given opportunities to thrive and learn, by feeling valued and supported. Staff follow the interests of each child, by planning a natural but stimulating environment, with a balance of adult guided and child led activities. We believe in the importance of outside play which allows children the opportunity to explore and develop a desire to learn, by having the freedom to solve problems and think critically.
TNB Garrison Early Years and Play has strict safeguarding procedures and ensures it is a priority for all its childcare settings. All staff undergo a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check, including students. All managers and senior staff are trained in Advanced Safeguarding and have attended Safe Recruitment in Education to ensure ongoing good practice and awareness. All other staff have undertaken e-safety courses online or attended Foundation training.
SEN / Inclusion / Equality
TNB Garrison Early Years and Play is committed to equality and inclusion for all children in our care. Each of our settings has a named person responsible for Special Educational Needs, (SENCO), who holds a minimum Level 3 qualification, Equality and Inclusion. We work with other agencies and professionals to help all children access early years education regardless of ability, need, family background, income, or ethnicity.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (Revised 2012) lays down statutory requirements to which all early year's settings must adhere. The requirements set out legal guidelines for welfare, safeguarding, staffing and qualifications, policies and procedures. A key element of the EYFS (2012) is to work in partnership with parents. The Development Matters in the EYFS document supports practitioners in implementing the statutory requirements. Children develop quickly in the early years, and early years practitioners aim to do all they can to help children have the best start in life. Other guidance is available at www.foundationyears.org.uk.
